THIS WAS NEVER A PHASE.
I knew young that horses weren't going to be something I simply did on the side. More than fifteen years later, the horses, the work and the learning are still the center of what I do.
But I didn't start with a finished facility, a full training barn or a business waiting on me. I worked whatever job needed worked while I built toward it — janitor, barn hand, shop work, truck driving — and kept riding horses around the edges until the horse business could finally become the job.
TPH grew from years of riding whatever needed ridden, learning from every kind of horse, solving problems, starting colts and building a reputation one horse and one client at a time. Eventually those long days turned into a business I was proud to put my name on.
