ABOUT TPH

horses have always been the point.

Townsend Performance Horses was built the same way good horses are built — through time, consistency, hard work and showing up every day.

OUR STORY ›
WHERE IT STARTED.

THIS WAS NEVER A PHASE.

I knew young that horses weren't going to be something I simply did on the side. More than fifteen years later, the horses, the work and the learning are still the center of what I do.

But I didn't start with a finished facility, a full training barn or a business waiting on me. I worked whatever job needed worked while I built toward it — janitor, barn hand, shop work, truck driving — and kept riding horses around the edges until the horse business could finally become the job.

TPH grew from years of riding whatever needed ridden, learning from every kind of horse, solving problems, starting colts and building a reputation one horse and one client at a time. Eventually those long days turned into a business I was proud to put my name on.

THEN. NOW. STILL HORSES.

THE HORSES THAT SHAPED THE STORYYears of learning, miles and memories.
THE LIFE BUILT AROUND THEMTrainer. Wife. Mom. Still in the barn.
A REAL WORKING BUSINESS.

THIS IS THE JOB.

TPH isn't a hobby dressed up like a business. Horse training is my actual work, and the standard here has to hold up in the real world — for the horses, for the clients who trust me with them, and for the family this business supports.

I know what it is to punch a clock, clean up after other people, do barn chores for somebody else, work around equipment and drive a truck because that was the job that needed done. None of it was wasted. It taught me how to work, how to keep showing up and how badly I wanted to build something of my own.

Now I'm a wife, a mom and a professional trainer. Some days still mean a toddler in the barn, long hours, muddy boots and a lot of moving parts. The difference is that those hours are going into a business I built hands-on — through patience, trust, word of mouth and work that has to speak for itself.

HORSE FIRST.

The horse in front of me determines the program. Not a timeline, trend or cookie-cutter system.

FOUNDATION MATTERS.

Whether the destination is performance, ranch work, English, recreation or something else, the fundamentals have to hold up.

WORK SPEAKS LOUDER.

No gimmicks. No pretending. Just years of hands-on experience and a commitment to keep getting better.

I worked whatever job I had to until I could build the job I wanted. Now I get to make a living doing the work I always knew mattered to me.

THE STORY KEEPS MOVING.
